I have tried many free converters and online PDF to Word converters. But this one (gotten free from GiveAwayOfTheDay) was the only one that did the job well on my test PDF.

As the editor said, this program does a very good job of converting PDF text to Word, but doesn't always keep the structure well.
I haven't tried converting images, so I'm not sure how good it is for that purpose.
